slow cooker
i brought home my mom’s old crock pot today and made my first meal in it.
basque lamb stew — home run. i augmented it a bit by incorporating some spring veggies (organic asparagus and leeks) and a hearty dose of red wine.
so simple! all ingredients added to the crock pot at once, turn to low and leave it for 5 hours.
the house smells amazing and the meal rocks.
this will be even better in a day or two. okay mom, you can keep raving about how easy and great the crock pot is.
i look forward to experimenting.
